We gather weekly as a whole school community for “prayer blocks," which are student-led spiritual assemblies introducing students to a variety of ways to pray – through worship, song, meditation, reflection, traditional prayer, study of the saints, and liturgical seasons.

Each month, we gather to celebrate Mass and give our students opportunities to serve as greeters, lectors, cantors, choir members, altar servers, gift bearers, and Eucharistic ministers.

We also celebrate special times of year with longer prayer services, providing our students with opportunities to bring their individual gifts and offer them to the Lord, incorporating the arts and liturgy in prayer:

Fathers and daughters bond in this longstanding tradition, now enhanced by an alumnae speaker. 

• Lessons & Carols 

Before we head off on Christmas break, we gather to celebrate Jesus’s birth in a liturgy filled with song and delivery of the Advent Angels’ charitable gifts. 

• Epiphany Celebration 

One of the more beautiful and longstanding traditions, the Living Nativity always features the most recently born baby in the Holy Child community. 

• Stations of the Cross 

Another moving tradition, Holy Child students reenact the stations with the contemplative attention of their classmates. 

• Baccalaureate Mass 

The sacramental capping of the senior year, this special Mass the night before graduation celebrates family and a chance for spiritual reflection on the Holy Child experience.
